Soccer Wars: Episode I

"Soccer Wars" is an annual festival celebrating the beautiful game. Hosted by the City of Madison, Alabama, and Rocket City United, the Tennessee Valley's minor league soccer team, "Soccer Wars" combines festival-style family fun with an adult 6v6 soccer tournament, scouting combines for aspiring professional players, and even a Business Expo.

The inaugural "Soccer Wars" will run concurrently with the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Final Four Tournament in late July 2010. "Soccer Wars" includes fun games, skills competitions, live music, food and beverage vendors, a parade and other surprises. "Soccer Wars" festival events will be held on the grounds adjacent to the City of Madison Schools Stadium.

Each day from July 29-August 1 offers a host of family oriented and soccer-related events. As the host city for the NPSL Final Four Tournament this year, Madison, AL, has a unique opportunity to spread the word about "Soccer Wars," soon to be an annual "Thing To Do" on the calendar of families, businesses, soccer players and soccer fans throughout the Tennessee Valley. The greater Huntsville, AL, area is known as the birthplace of the U.S. Space and Rocket program, and like the Earth orbiting the Sun, "Soccer Wars" will only come around once a year. Don't miss it!
